Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans... Having spent 15 years in corporate setting as project director and field director and research coordinator for market research firms i fully understand the strains of work and commuting and schedules etc... i was 'granted' an opportunity for career change in 2009 and having already studied massage therapy in 2004, i decided to get fullly certified, licensed and start an amazing career as a professional massage therapist and member of the American Massage Therapy Association. It was the right direction to take and I have been completely happy with the opportunity to re-invent myself and return to my real purpose.
I studied massage at the Institute for Conscious Bodywork in Mill Valley CA in 2004 and was certified to practice in that county. This training included Swedish technique, reflexology and trager therapy. Once i decided to pursue a careeer as professional in Illinois, i attended Harper College to complete my licensure requirements. This training was very strong in anatomy, physiology and clinical comprehension and it guided me to a strong beginning in the massage industry.
Within my first year of practice in day spas, i was completely inspired to go deeper into the essence of the spirit of massage that i had only experienced on rare but memorable occasions when recieving that kind of massage that REALLY rearranges you from the inside out. I wanted to know how to bring THAT to my clients!
That is how i found the Institute for Phenomenal touch in Boulder Colorado and how i fell Totally in Love with my work. This amazing work is based on principles that define that essence i was seeking. The three dimensional contact, the continuous flow, the seamless transitions and the deep reverence to the client - all these and many more contribute to the experience of Ahhhhhhh.
I will continue to learn new modalities and keep up with the current research on the benefits of massage and continue to bring all that i have to each and every session. After all - its what I'm here for!!!
